It was a chilly fall weekend but it was a nice campground. Hoping to come back next summer. The beach looked nice and sandy and most of the sites looked shady.
I think this was my favorite park this year. Such beautiful beach areas and the water was amazing. The campsite itself was spacious, 50 amp, but a good amount of the sites are not level. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily and free. Definitely bring shower shoes because they can get dirty quickly between cleanings.
Can’t go wrong with Michigan State Parks. Haven’t been to Young in years but I am happy to be back. Shower facilities are very nice, and even have a camp store with ping pong + ice cream. Great state park :-)
Clean, level, well placed campground right on lake charlevoix with swimming at a gorgeous beach. The lights from the bathrooms were a little annoying at night but our spot was right by the woods and water spout. Will go again.
Nice park located on the east branch of Lake Charlevoix. Hardly staffed. The bathrooms were trashed! Plugged toilet with poop on floor, 2 on women's side that didn't stop running, broken soap dispensers and hand dryers. Lots of trees with good sites.
Nice park! Bummed the camp store wasn't open during our 6/4-6/8 stay. Beautiful beach, but water near beach very dirty right now with pollens. Will camp here again!
Lovely wooded state park with campgrounds and a long sandy beach.
Great state park, boat access, hiking trails, Beaches. So much to do, and close enough to Boyne City, Petoskey, and even Traverse City for a day trip.
